First Impression:
I wasn't sure what to think about this until received it. There are plenty of items that appear to be beautiful in photo's. Then you receive the item and that is just not the case. I did have high hopes for this particular item though. Looked great, description was great, and it appeared to be an item that I could use for the future. Please read below to see what the experience was like.
Packaging:
This arrived in a sleek matte black box with a white branding. The box was solid and the packaging was clean. There were no weird dents or cuts in the box on arrival. The item itself was snugly fit inside the box. They did go the extra step to wrap the item in protective wrap and get it inside the box for safe transport.
Construction:
I have to say this ashtray is very solid. It was kind of odd. You pick this thing up and it feels solid, like steel solid. Then you realize it is very lightweight due to the aluminum construction. It is cut from a single piece of aluminum so there are no seems or pieces to come apart. This is a very sturdy item that will probably last a lifetime of use.
Cleaning:
To my surprise this ashtray is very easy to clean. The ashes just slide off. If there is burnt ash stuck to it they can be easily wiped away. I always wash out my ashtrays after use. If I bring it inside my house I do want it to have that old ash smell. This ashtray did not retain any smell after cleaning after several uses.
My Preference:
While I like everything about this ashtray from construction to design there is one thing that you must note about it. This is a single cigar ashtray only. It can be stored in your travel bag without adding weight and used both indoor and outdoor. It is an amazing choice for a travel ashtray or stationary ashtray when you are having a solo herf session. It would be very cool to have multiple for your group smoke sessions though.
Final Thoughts:
This is a solid, portable, and high quality ashtray at a great price. Fits most cigars and retains its look after several uses. Was this a good purchase? Without a doubt. I literally have zero complaints. If you need (which we all do) a small, portable, and durable ashtray option for those solo cigar sessions look no further. I would have to recommend you grab one of these if not more. You will not be disappointed.
