Review: Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding

Updated: Oct 23, 2020

Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding.....that alone should be enough for this particular tobacco. It is amazing. A masterpiece for lack of better words. Not a new smoke for me, but a long time selection. I would suggest reading this review after you place your order. I am that confident that you will enjoy it as much as I do.

First Impression:

This is a time tested favorite of many pipe smokers. I will include myself on that list as well. Plum Pudding is definitely a tobacco blend I would recommend to the newest pipe smoker all the way to veterans of the pipe game if they have not tried it. The smell is great. The krumble is excellent. There is nothing bad about this one. My first impression of this is the same as my current with the exception of knowing it would be amazing.

Lighting, Draw, and Burn:

Everything about this tobacco is perfect. It lights very good and with ease. The construction of the tobacco even after packing it in is perfect. Air can pass through it to make each draw pleasant and effortless. The burn is flawless. No relight required even after an extended period of placing down the pipe.

Flavor:

This is a masterpiece of flavor. Thick creamy smoke has a sweetness mixed with the flavors of deep Earth tones, smokiness, and notes of salt in the background. The flavor stays consistent throughout your entire smoking adventure. It is very rare to find tobacco with such qualities in my opinion. This one hits the nail on the head and does it with style.

Final Thoughts:

Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding was one of the first tobaccos that I ever tried in a pipe. It currently is always in the Icky Box ready to go at a moments notice. It will probably be the last tobacco that I smoke in a pipe as well. The blend, construction, profile, and flavor are all perfect for my taste. It is a solid choice for a first time smoker or a great edition to the long time smoker. I would say that I will be buying more, but I just happened to have another 8 ounce tin arrive. Take my word for it and go grab yourself a tin. You will not be disappointed.
