Review: Husky 20 Gallon Airtight Container

I actually stumbled upon this container in Home Depot. What made is very cool is I was not there for this. I was walking around and there it was in front of me. I immediately knew I had to at the very least give it a try. The review below will explain why I am very happy that I did.

STATS:

Brand: Husky

Item: Airtight container

Size: 20 gallons

Depth: 18.3 inches

Width: 26.7 inches

Height: 15.3 inches

Seal: Rubber gasket

Closure: Latch type

Airtight: Yes

Price: $29.98

First Impression:

I really liked the rugged outdoor look. I know that airtight containers are nothing new to the cigar world for storage. I did however appreciate the overall appearance. I was also happy that it had a multi latch closure system.

Usage:

At the time of writing this I have two six gallon smaller airtight containers inside. The beauty of this is that I can use them in place of trays. The lids are not needed to to the massive Husky container. I also have six full boxes of cigars inside with plenty of room left to spare. I am able to put the products in, add humidity, and put the container away in my closet to age. This is currently holding all the overflow that I have from my two humidors and one smaller airtight container.

My Preference:

With the current stock that is inside I had to figure out my humidity. Currently, there are two 69% Boveda humidity packs inside that are 609 grams each. Once sealed I place it in my closet. The temperature and humidity currently are both sitting at 69%. I could not ask for more than that.

Final Thoughts:

This is an excellent storage container to use for aging or overflow cigars. Everything about this container is spot on for what I need it for. Also, at this price point I am not sure you could find a more sturdy storage unit. If you have overflow or plan to have overflow (which we all will at some point) this is the container that will save the day.
